New office amplifies support to US Air Force and brings new jobs to community

Persistent Systems, LLC (“Persistent”), a leader in mobile ad hoc networking (MANET) technology, announced that it has opened a new office near Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls Montana, in support of the company’s work with the service.

Dr. Herbert Rubens, Persistent Systems Founder and CEO attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony in Great Falls, along with Tory Malek from the office of Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) and Shane Etzwiler, President and CEO of the Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce.

Reading a letter from Senator Daines, Malek noted the importance of Malmstrom, home of the 341st Missile Wing of the Air Force Global Strike Command, to the security of the United States and applauded the work of Persistent Systems in helping to bring situational awareness to every part of the base.

“We are excited to be joined by our honored guests in Great Falls as we inaugurate the new company office,” Dr. Rubens said. “This is a big step for us and the U.S. Air Force. The staff we’ve brought in will help the Air Force network Malmstrom. We also appreciate the warm welcome we received from the community in the beautiful State of Montana.”

The Persistent Great Falls office is equipped with drive-through vehicle bays that enable Persistent personnel to install wireless networking equipment into Air Force vehicles. The facility is specifically designed to support the work the team is conducting.

“With the office located just outside the gates of the base, the Air Force will have immediate access to field support representatives for MANET installation, maintenance, and training,” said Doug Brown, Director of Programs for Persistent Systems.
